DRUG SCREENING IN URINE

Do you want to screen employees for drug use?
Suspected drug use in a child or partner?

Most drugs remain detectable in urine for at least two days after ingestion. With heavier use, sometimes 3 to 4 days.
This test panel is used to do broad screening for the most common drugs.

Just bring in a urine sample and we will give you the answer. It is of course necessary to ensure that this urine is not tampered with at the time of collection (e.g. diluted, certain substances added to make drug detection more difficult).

The result is usually available within the week.

How do I prepare?

Collection of midstream urine sample: for ordinary urinalysis

The examination requires the middle portion of the (best first morning) urine, called midstream urine.

For women:

  • Beforehand, wash the pubic area with a washcloth with water:
  • Spread the labia and clean with water (no soap!) or with a damp cloth (always from front to back) and dry with toilet paper.
  • Keep the labia spread when urinating.

For men:

  • Pull the foreskin back and clean with water(no soap!) and dry with toilet paper.
  • Hold the foreskin back when urinating
  • First pee a little in the toilet and then collect some urine in a clean urine jar by holding it in the urinal.
  • Then close the jar tightly with the lid.
  • If necessary, write your name and date of birth on the jar and store it in the refrigerator.

Following drugs/xenobiotics are detected with the drug screening in urine panel:

  • Cannabis (marijuana, hashish)

  • Cocaine

  • Opiates (heroin, codeine, morphine)

  • EDDP (metabolite of methadone)

  • Methamphetamines (MDEA or Eve, MDMA or XTC)

  • Amphetamine (MDA)

  • Benzodiazepines

  • Barbiturates

  • Tricyclic antidepressants (TCA).

For legally valid investigations, only 1 (or if necessary several) type of drugs is detected. Here, in addition to the above-mentioned drugs/xenobiotics, new psycho-active substances such as Flakka can also be detected. Cost price depends on the type of drugs chosen.
